April Lee
April Lee is an art advisor based in Ojai, CA. April honed her aesthetic during her tenure in the curatorial departments of the Hammer Museum, the Honolulu Museum of Art, and Dia Art Foundation, where she also redesigned and headed the education and public programs department. She has worked at 303 Gallery and on projects by artists including Doug Aitken, Leland Miyano, and Tomas Saraceno, and has run her private art consulting practice since 2017.
After studying art history and philosophy at Vassar College, April received her master’s degree from Harvard University where she explored how people learn. As a global education consultant April served the King of Bhutan in an advisory capacity in creating the country's premier educational institution, The Royal Academy, and both the Guam and US Departments of Education with education policy recommendations. She co-created and taught a hybrid art history and constructivist pedagogy course at Vassar with historian Molly Nesbit.
April is launching a new project space in Ojai in the fall of 2024.
